Picking up right where the first season left off, DG and Tambe find themselves still stranded, relentlessly searching for Mr. Kapoor’s murderer

Sunflower’ Season 2 will soon exclusively premiere on ZEE5. Created by showrunner Vikas Bahl and directed by Navin Gujral the show features Sunil Grover in the lead role alongside Ashish Vidyarthi, Ranvir Shorey, Mukul Chaddha and Girish Kulkarni in other prominent roles.

Talking about the roles he wants to say yes to at this stage of his career, Grover was quoted saying, “First and foremost, for me is the story, and the second is the director. I should have a good understanding and equation with my director. The character and the way it’s written are also quite important to me. Preparing for the character is very important, and I ask myself if I would like to go for the shoot the next day and if the answer is yes, I take that.”

On being selective about his work

I don’t think about this at all. The show and the story has to be good, and if that is taken care of, and if I feel like I must do it, then whether it’s one, three or four doesn’t matter. The project and the story should be appealing to me, and I if I have the time, I will accommodate it and if I don’t have time and can’t do it then I won’t do it. But it has to be appealing, doesn’t matter how many.

Picking up right where the first season left off, DG and Tambe find themselves still stranded, relentlessly searching for Mr. Kapoor’s murderer. In the upcoming season, the stellar cast from Season 1 will reprise their roles: Sunil Grover as Sonu Singh, Mukul Chaddha as Mr. Ahuja, Ashish Vidyarthi as Dilip Iyer, Ranvir Shorey as Inspector Digendra, and Girish Kulkarni as Inspector Tambe.

This time around, the intrigue deepens with twice the number of suspects including, of course, Sonu who isIndia’s most loved murder suspect. The viewers will witness Sonu, in his usual fashion, casually keeps them guessing, while the mysteries unfold.
