NEW DELHI: The ongoing IPL season has proven to be a watershed moment in the league’s history, with an unprecedented showcase of power-hitting prowess. A staggering 300 sixes have been smashed in just 17 matches, setting a new record for the most sixes in the first 17 matches of any IPL season.
This remarkable feat eclipses the previous record of 259 sixes set during the 2023 season.

SRH etched their name in the annals of IPL history with a monumental total of 277/3 against MI, the highest-ever in the tournament’s history. In reply, Mumbai also gave SRH the taste of their own medicine posting 246/5 to suffer a 29-run loss.
The match aggregate of 523 runs was the highest ever in an IPL match and in a men’s T20 match as well.
In a thrilling encounter, the Kolkata Knight Riders notched up the IPL’s second-highest total ever, amassing 272/7 against the Delhi Capitals. Following their formidable batting performance, KKR proceeded to bowl out DC for 166. The match witnessed a total of 29 sixes.
