BENGALURU: Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, along with several other cabinet ministers, received a bomb threat mail on Tuesday. The City Crime Branch of the Bengaluru Police has registered a case in this regard.
The Karnataka government received an email containing a bomb threat, warning a potential explosion in Bengaluru targeting officials, at 2.48 pm on Saturday.
The email stated the explosion would target Siddaramaiah, deputy CM DK Shivakumar, the home minister and the Bengaluru Police commissioner.
According to TV reports, the email was sent by a person named Shahid Khan. The email also mentioned perpetrators want 2.5 million dollars to not go through with the planned explosion. The explosion might happen in crowded areas like restaurants, temples, buses, or trains.
