The Houthi rebels targeted two U.S. warships in the Red Sea on March 5 with missiles and drones. The U.S. CENTCOM said destroyer USS Carney was able to shoot down one anti-ship ballistic missile and bomb-carrying drone fired from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen. The fresh attack came as a third ship, since November 2023, caught fire after a Houthi missile strike in the Red Sea. Indian Navy personnel embarked MSC Sky II vessel to fight the fire on March 5.
