BHIWANDI: In the ongoing dispute between Congress and NCP for a ticket from Bhiwandi Lok Sabha, social worker from Bhiwandi and President of Jijau Sanghatana Nilesh Sambare has claimed that he will be the Congress candidate.
Sambare during his visit in Kalyan speaking to media persons said that, “I will be Congress’s candidate from Bhiwandi Loksabha, the senior leaders of Congress have assured me that i will get the Congress ticket, the official announcement of which will be made in a day or two”.
Earlier, Sambare was also trying to get the Bhiwandi Lok Sabha ticket from Uddhav’s Shiv Sena.
How much truth is there in Sambare’s claims will be known only after the ticket is declared, but at present Dayanand Choraghe of Congress and Suresh Mahatre from NCP have been struggling for the last several days to get the ticket from this seat by presenting their claim and senior leaders of both parties in Mahavikas Aghadi demanding Bhiwandi seat which traditionally belongs to Congress.
The tussle between Congress and NCP over Bhiwandi seat is still going on. NCP’s senior leaders in MVA demanding Bhiwandi seat for their candidate Suresh Mahatre while Congress is not willing to give seat claiming it is traditionally belongs to Congress and this time they confident Congress candidate will win from this seat.
However Sambare’s claim has shocked to both parties leaders. Sambare who runs Jijau Sangathana through which he does various social works at large numbers in Thane rural areas. If sources to believe than Sambare has his supporters in all parties and if he gets Congress ticket than he can give tough fight to Minister of State Panchayati Raj Minister Kapil Patil who is third time given MP ticket from BJP.
