Director Varun Grover’s ALL INDIA RANK is the story of a boy from a middle-class family who is forced to make a particular career choice. The story takes place in the 1990s when Liberalization was about to take over India. The story revolves around a Lucknow based teenager Vivek (Bodhisattva…&nbspSharma), who is a loner. He is compelled to appear for the IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) entrance exam by his parents and for that, he is relocated to Kota. His father RK Singh (Shashi Bhushan) has great expectations from his son. He keeps telling him that once he cracks the entrance exams after a year, life will be hunky dory as he will get an admission in one of the most reputed engineering colleges of India. Vivek, however, isn’t sure whether he has the same plans about him as his father. What happens with him forms the rest of the story.
