YRF Spy Universe is a money-making franchise and filmmaker Aditya Chopra recently twisted it by announcing the new film in this universe which will be headlined by a female star Alia Bhatt along with Sharvari. It will be directed by Shiv Rawail of The Railway Men fame.

While the excitement about the film is at its peak, the latest reports suggest that Bobby Deol, who won hearts with his negative portrayal in Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, will play the villain in this Spy film.

, this is yet another author-backed antagonist turn for Bobby Deol. He will be playing the terrifying evil force who takes on 
Alia Bhatt and Sharvari
in the film. The paperwork is done and Bobby is all excited to start shooting for the film in the second half of 2024,” said a source to PinkVilla.

The source added, “There’s a special look for Bobby in the film” and it will be a tailor-made role for the actor.

He is young and has a brilliant pulse on what the youth would want to consume as entertainment as is evident with the global success that he has delivered under the guidance of Aditya Chopra. Thus, Adi is confident that he is the best director to helm the young female-led action entertainer from the YRF Spy Universe that stars Alia Bhatt in the lead with the rising star of the industry, Sharvari,” informs a trade source.

The film, where Alia and Sharvari are due to play “super agents,” will commence production in 2024.

Created by Aditya Chopra, the Spy Universe kicked off with the Tiger franchise, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, beginning with “Ek Tha Tiger” (2012) and “Tiger Zinda Hai” (2017), and continued with “War” (2019), starring 
Hrithik Roshan
 and Tiger Shroff.
