The Sussexes, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle raised eyebrows on Thursday as they made two announcements that clashed with Prince William’s speech at the Diana Legacy Awards, where he shared words and gave tribute to his beloved mother Princess Diana.

This incident turned out to be a hot topic as some royal experts said that the timings were ’no accident’ and it was a rare occasion where Harry and William appeared together, although they were 5,000 miles apart and shared their words at the different times in the evening.

The Diana Legacy Awards took place at the Science Museum in London, which Prince William attended, while Prince Harry appeared virtually from his Californian home.

Moments before Prince William arrived for the event, his sister-in-law Meghan Markle launched her lifestyle and cooking brand American Riviera Orchard via Instagram.

Talking about his mother’s legacy, William said, “I know that she would have been honoured to see a charity in her name doing such inspirational work to uplift young people from all corners of the globe. She taught me that everyone has the potential to give something back, that everyone in need deserves a supporting hand in life.”

left the event, Harry began his talk via video-link from Montecito, where he told the young winners, “I’m sorry I am not there. I wish I could be there with you guys.” He thanked the group for inspiring so many others and “protecting my mother’s legacy, I really appreciate that”.

“The Sussexes in my opinion do nothing by accident and timing is often absolutely pivotal. We’ve now just been reminded that there may be more shots in their locker than some of us thought. And it’s no accident,” Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliam was quoted as saying by MailOnline.
