CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh College of Architecture organised an audio visual presentation titled ‘Renaissance: Palladio and Le Corbusier’ by architect Subrata Chatterjee. The lecture shed light on the importance of architectural history to develop a sound understanding of architecture. Subrata talked about the art, architecture and urbanism of the Renaissance era and related the importance of the classical fundamentals through a comparison with the modernist works of Le Corbusier.
A copy of “Envisioning Chandigarh’s Edges”, a compilation of students’ work published by CCA, was presented as a token of appreciation to Subrata by the college principal Prof Sangeeta Bagga.
