Kiran Rao‘s film ‘Laapataa Ladies‘ is getting some rave reviews for it gives a strong message in a light-hearted manner. Amidst all the accolades coming in, Salman Khan also showered praise on the movie. He revealed that he saw the film with his father Salim Khan and in his tweet he asked Kiran when will she work with him. However, Khan made a goof-up as he called ‘Laapataa Ladies’ as Kiran’s debut.In reality, the 2011 starrer ‘Dhobi Ghaat’ was Kiran’s debut.
Salman wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Just saw Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies. Wah Wah Kiran. I really enjoyed it and so did my father. Congrats on your debut as a director. Kab kaam karogi mere saath?”

Soon, netizens started telling Salman that ‘Laapataa Ladies’ is not her debut. Someone also pulled out a photo of Salman attending the screening of ‘Dhobi Ghaat’ and hugging Aamir Khan.
A user wrote, “Salman set himself up by congratulating kiran rao for her “directorial debut” like okay you don’t remember attending the premiere of her actual debut back in 2011 but man couldn’t even bother to check??”
With all the comments pouring him correcting him and trolling him, Khan later deleted his tweet and has now dropped a new post.
