We often have strong and difficult emotions suppressed within us. This can start to feel very heavy with time. Emotional release, also known as catharsis, is necessary to make ourselves feel better. “Releasing your emotions means expressing them outside of your intellectual mind and not being as impacted or overwhelmed by them anymore. This is a way to provide an outlet for emotions and letting go (releasing) of intense feelings in a constructive and healthy manner,” wrote Therapist Israa Nasir.(Unsplash)
