NEW DELHI: Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday announced that Australia’s World Cup-winning captain Pat Cummins will spearhead their team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 edition.
Bought by SRH for an impressive Rs 20.50 crore in last December’s IPL auctions, the 30-year-old pacer now holds the record of being the second-costliest player in the event’s history.
Cummins takes over the reins from South African Aiden Markram, who captained SRH during the 2023 season.
“Our new captain Pat Cummins,” the SRH said on social media platforms, along with a picture of Cummins.
