AMBALA/YAMUNANAGAR: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini wooed voters claiming that the double engine Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) governments in Centre and Haryana have done overall development in the region.
CM Saini addressed two Vijay Sankalp rallies of BJP in Naraingarh in Ambala district and Sadhaura in Yamunanagar district, where he sought votes for his party’s Ambala (reserved) Lok Sabha candidate Banto Kataria.
CM Saini said that the BJP government developed four-laned highways in the state, which strengthened the road connectivity and eased the people’s lives.
He expressed confidence that BJP will win all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, due to policies and works done by double engine governments. Sighting the same reason, he urged people to vote for Banto Kataria. Earlier, Kataria had also addressed the gathering and thanked BJP leadership for giving her opportunity to contest Lok Sabha elections.
“BJP government gives full respect to every section of the society including farmers. The PM Modi led government did several landmark works for bettering the lives of farmers. The farmers are given Rs 6,000 yearly under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme”, said Saini.
“Haryana government released Rs 12,500 crore to farmers as compensation for damaged crops in the past 9.5 years. On the other hand, the Congress government only gave Rs 1,100 crore compensation to farmers for damaged crops”, said Nayab Saini.
He also spoke about abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution by the Modi government, while criticizing Congress for saying to reconsider the same on coming to power.
“Nation’s people will give Congress no chance to reconsider Article 370, as people have made up their mind to bring back Modi with more than 400 seats,” added Nayab Saini.
Haryana agriculture minister Kanwar Pal also addressed the gathering and said that the double engine government delivered its promises.
“Congress leaders say BJP is trying to destroy democracy. BJP believes in strengthening democracy. The fact is, it is Congress which tried to destroy democracy by imposing Emergency in the country,” said Kanwar Pal.
On this occasion BJP leaders including former Sadhaura MLA Balwant Singh, BJP Yamunanagar district president Rajesh Sapra and other leaders were also present.
