Deadpool & Wolverine is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 26, 2024. Until then, it remains uncertain exactly what the new MCU heroes are up to
The ever-growing excitement for the highly anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine has taken a new turn in India as fans make their favorite superheroes join the Holi festivities.
Celebrated with vibrant colours across the country, fans have taken to social media to share their interpretations of Deadpool & Wolverine participating in Holi.
During an interview with SiriusXM in December 2022, Hugh Jackman responded to a question about Wolverine’s return in Deadpool 3 despite his death in Logan. The actor said, “It’s all because of this device they have in the Marvel world of moving around timelines. Now we can go back because, you know, it’s ‘science.’ So, I don’t have to screw with the Logan timeline, which was important to me. And I think probably to the fans too.”
It needs to be noted that Deadpool 3 is a multiverse film which means that variants of beloved characters including Wolverine from another timeline will be joining the MCU film. Another theory supporting the Wolverine’s role in the third instalment of Deadpool & Wolverine is that the film is based on an earlier period in the Fox X-Men universe before the events of Logan took place.
For those uninitiated, Wolverine, at the end of Logan, was brutally killed by his deranged clone X-24. The film marked the introduction of Dafne Keen as Laura, Wolverine’s biological daughter. She was taken to safety at the Canadian border by her father while being chased by Wolverine’s clone, X-24. Having said that, Logan’s gut-wrenching ending has nothing to do with Deadpool 3 as the upcoming film will take place before the incidents happened in Logan.
Deadpool & Wolverine is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 26, 2024. Until then, it remains uncertain exactly what the new MCU heroes are up to.
