Relationships suffer when we are constantly distracted. The external stimuli can often overwhelm the brain and produce an excessive amount of Dopamine. This can make us stay busy with things that are not necessary. Instead, in order to focus ourselves back to the relationship, we need to do a Dopamine detox. “Our brains are not exactly equipped to regulate the high levels of dopamine that are often released from the overwhelming stimuli we’re exposed to daily.
