Elvish Yadav was recently arrested in the controversial snake venom case and was sent to a 14-day judicial custody

Over the past few days, popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Days after being arrested in the controversial snake venom case, Yadav was finally granted bail by the Gautam Budh Nagar district court on Friday in exchange for two sureties of Rs 50,000 each. While fans in large numbers, his close ones, and celebs have come out in his support, stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui has also shared his reactions. In response to a media question about how he feels about Elvish getting bail in the case, Munawar shared that he feels good and is happy for him.

The reaction came days after Munawar in another media interaction spoke about the same matter. While interacting with Paps at a Holi event in Mumbai, he shared that he had no idea about this arrest. “Mujhe kuch bhi idea nahi iss baare mein. Mera phone toh band tha. Mere phone ki battery puri dead ho chuki hai. I don’t know kaise hua yeh sab (I have no idea about this. My phone was switched off as my battery was dead. I don’t know how this happened),” he shared.

For the unversed, Munawar and Elvish Yadav are said to be good friends, They were recently also spotted playing a friendly match at ISPL. They also hugged each other and posed for pictures.

Elvish Yadav snake venom case

The case dates back to November last year when Elvish Yadav and five others were named in an FIR lodged at Noida Sector 49 police station on a complaint from an animal rights NG).

A probe was launched and samples were also collected from a rave party which confirmed the use of Cobra and Krait snake species as drugs. The five others said to be snake charmers, were arrested after the police busted a snake smuggling racket.

While Yadav’s role in the case was being probed, he reportedly also admitted his involvement.

Months after all the investigations, Yadav was arrested on 17 March and was sent to 14-day judicial custody by a local magistrate court. Two of his associates – Ishwar and Vinay Yadav- were arrested but were also granted bail.
