The alliance is designed to focus on scalable capacity expansion and strengthened sales efforts within existing business segments such as VFX, game trailers, animation, and in-game content

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan has donned multiple hats with remarkable success over the years, demonstrating versatility in Indian cinema. From his captivating acting debut to his entrepreneurial ventures, the ‘Shaitaan’ actor is full of talent. While the actor continues to grace the screen with his powerful performance, his VFX studio, NY VFXwala, has become a leader in visual effects for Indian cinema. Recently, his visual effects studio established a strategic partnership with Goodbye Kansas Studio in Sweden.

This achievement was facilitated through an offshore subsidiary, which aligns with the inauguration of a joint venture studio in India. The alliance is designed to focus on scalable capacity expansion and strengthened sales efforts within existing business segments such as VFX, game trailers, animation, and in-game content.

Moreover, the company aims to target new geographical markets and leverage the growing trend of outsourcing VFX and gaming content. In addition to that, the companies will take a global approach to resource planning and talent acquisition. NY VFXwala and Goodbye Kansas also plan to capitalise on opportunities in the Indian and Asian games markets. The companies will together form a collaborative research and development team, as per Variety.

Founder and chair of NY VFXWaala, Ajay Devgn, said that their endeavours involve setting new milestones with each production. They embrace an ongoing process of learning, evolution, and adaptation to the latest technologies, reported Variety.

Creative head and co-founder of NY VFXWaala, Naveen Paul, said, “Our joint vision is to drive global expansion, set quality benchmarks, and deliver exceptional service to clients worldwide.”

“NY VFXWaala is an ideal partner for Goodbye Kansas, sharing the same dedication to cutting-edge technology, engaging narrative and outstanding talent. This strategic partnership brings together our strengths in a way that will benefit both our organisations. Together, we are positioned to create exceptional value for our viewers and open new development opportunities for our talented co-workers,” added Goodbye Kansas board chair Per Anders Wärn.

The partnership with NY VFXWaala will provide major opportunities for expanding production resources and capabilities and significantly contribute to their mutual growth supporting Goodbye Kansas’ journey towards profitable growth, said Goodbye Kansas CEO Stefan Danieli.

Notably, Ajay Devgn’s established NY VFXWaala boasts a 300-film portfolio featuring Bollywood films like Bhuj, Malang, and Shaitaan and the Tamil film Bigil.

Goodbye Kansas, on the other hand, excels at crafting game trailers and visual effects for live-action productions. It has partnered with platforms like Netflix, HBO, Apple TV, and Disney, among others. Its portfolio includes work on games like Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and God of War: Ragnarök, and film work includes A Man Called Otto and Asteroid City.
