Travis Head hit a 39-ball century and helped Sunrisers Hyderabad smash their record for the highest score in the history of the Indian Premier League. As a result of their mammoth 287/3 score, they managed to get into the second position as far as the highest-ever team scores in the history of T20 cricket are concerned.

Nepal 314/3 vs Mongolia, Asian Games 2022

Nepal holds the record for the highest-ever team score in the history of T20 cricket as they smashed 314 against Mongolia during the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China. It was the same game in which Dipender Singh Airee hit six sixes off consecutive deliveries but in different overs. 


Sunrisers Hyderabad 287/3 vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru, IPL 2024


SRH smashed 287/3 at the iconic M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru against the hosts  Royal Challengers Bengaluru in what was a stunning display of batting from Head, Heinrich Klaasen, Abdul Samad and Aiden runs rained at the ground. It was the same game in which most aggregate ruins for a T20 ever were recorded. 


Afghanistan 278/3 vs Ireland in 2019


Afghanistan cricket team scored the highest-ever runs in a T20 match in 2019 before the record was broken by Nepal later on. It was the same game in which Hazratullah Zazai scored an unbeaten 162, which is the second-highest individual score in T20Is. 


Czech Republic 278/4 vs Turkey in 2019


Sudesh Wickramasekara’s 104 and Hilal Ahmad’s 79 along with 39 extras helped the Czech Republic post 278/4 against Turkey, Turkey was then bowled out for just 21 as the Czrch side registered the biggest wi9n in T20Is, which was later on broken by Nepla when they defeated Mongolia by 273 runs. 


Sunrisers Hyderabad 277/3 vs Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024 


Before they scored 287 against RCB, Sunrisers had smashed 277 against Mumbai Indians to achieve the feat of scoring IPL’s highest total. In that match, Head was on the march as he had hit 62. However, apart from him, Heinrich Klaasen and Abhishek Sharma had also hit fifties.
