NEW DELHI: A chaotic scene unfolded in Sydney’s western suburbs today as multiple people were stabbed during a violent incident at a local church. Police authorities said a number of people were injured in the stabbing.
Officers have arrested a male and he is assisting police with inquiries, a police statement said.
As per reports, the victims suffered “non-life threatening injuries” and were being treated by ambulance crews, police said.

The ambulance service told AFP that four people were being treated.
Details are still emerging regarding the exact number of victims and the severity of their injuries, but authorities have confirmed that several individuals sustained stab wounds during the altercation.
Emergency medical teams rushed to the scene to provide urgent medical assistance to those affected.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear at this time.
This comes just two days after a deadly knife rampage in a city shopping mall.
